On Saturday March 11, 2006, Raye Vest's 17 year old grandson, a senior in high school, Patrick Vest was injured in a four wheeler accident. He was flown to Maryland University Trauma Center. He has since been diagnosed with Complete Spinal Cord Injury and is still in ICU.

With the high costs of medical treatment and the need to renovate their home to accommodate a wheel chair, a foundation has been set up to help with these costs.

Raye Vest has played a huge part in the success of Rick Eckert's racing career and has been a wonderful friend to the whole racing community for many years. We would greatly appreciate any donations to the Patrick Vest Foundation and all contributions are fully tax deductible.
